The evening took place in a fantastic theatre-style room which was further enhanced by the use of well-placed uplighters that the couple had decided to also hire from us for their special day.
The couple were very impressed with the way that Paul had structured the playlist that they had provided in advance, and this was further commented on by other guests, including Richie the best man. Music included 70’s punk, 80’s; Britpop and Indie, with notable song choices from the couple including a large 80’s set to include New Order, Heaven 17 and Furniture.

Amongst the songs also played during the evening were Iggy Pop’s ‘Passenger’; ‘Rock the Casbah’ by the Clash and ‘Going Underground’ by the Jam, with a large part of the evening devoted to 80’s, and songs by popular Manchester artists, ranging from the Stone Roses and Blur to the Soup Dragons and Happy Mondays.

For the final part of the evening Paul played further tracks from the playlist, which included Franz Ferdinand, the Arctic Monkeys and the Killers before getting the guests to form what has become Paul’s customary ring around the bride and groom at the end of the night for the final song; ‘Wonderwall’ by Oasis.

Having worked up a large wet patch on the back of his shirt as a result of dancing non-stop for 3 hours, John was no doubt looking forward to spending a more relaxing time with Nicky on his honeymoon to Palermo!
Paul and the team here at Chris Mack Specialist DJ’s would like to wish them both all the very best for their future together
