Kettering Rock Wedding Disco

Emma & Adam, 11th August 2022 – Kettering Park Hotel, Kettering Rock Wedding Disco by DJ Chris Mack

This great couple booked me for their evening reception at Kettering Park Hotel, Kettering Rock Wedding disco back in January 2020, via my website djchrismack.co.uk

Originally planned for an April 2021 Wedding, for obvious reasons they had to move the date.

The couples choice in music was interesting, Emma loved her pop music and Adam loved his indie/rock and American Pie music.

Their first dance was Dashboard Confessional – Stolen

The couple sent me a list of tracks and I spent a few hours before the big day putting things in the right order so it would be perfect for the night. They had about 30 mins spare so I filled them with the right tunes.

Some of their requests listed here:

Arctic Monkeys – R U mine

Foo Fighters – Times like these

Third eye blind – Semi charmed life

Will Ferrell – Yaya ding dong

B*witched – C’est la vie

Billy Joel – We didn’t start the fire

To name but a few…

The night consisted of 60’s through the decades of random rock and pop songs, with the last hour of rock, pop punk and indie.

The final song of the evening was Oasis – Don’t look back in anger.

I wish you both the very best for the future and please keep in touch.

  1. For us, a good DJ was one of the most important elements of our wedding. As a couple who love music, we wanted guests to be up dancing with us for most of the night and to have only the best tunes played. We didn’t want the standard wedding DJ with the Grease megamix, Cha Cha slide and Bruno Mars. We spent a long time researching and speaking to DJs and then we came across Chris Mack – a specialist Rock and Indie DJ. He was so enthusiastic, professional, caring and highly responsive to any queries or requests. We are so pleased that we found and decided to book him; he did an absolutely incredible job at our evening reception. All of our guests loved the music. We had so much positive feedback and there were always people on the dancefloor or singing along in their seats – even those we wouldn’t have expected!
We presented him with a very eclectic mix of requests from Want You Bad by Offspring to C’est La Vie, We didn’t start the fire to Never ending story and Gay Bar! Up for the challenge, he organised all of our tracks into a brilliantly sequenced playlist, along with adding a few of his own that suited our style. He even played Jaja Ding Dong (“PLAY JAJA DING DONG!”)! He also took some photos of our night which we are also very grateful of, including the big circle that our guests made around us to the final song, Don’t Look back in Anger. I think the only complaint from guests was that it finished at midnight…. I think they could have easily carried on but the venue staff started packing up!
Thank you so much, Chris. It has been a pleasure and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone who wants an awesome, non-traditional wedding DJ who will fully embrace your music taste!
