Elliot & Claire 11th September 2021 – Longton Wood, Maidstone Wedfest Rock Disco by DJ Chris Mack
Elliot booked me for his Wedding at Longton Wood in Maidstone Wedfest Rock Disco back in April this year via my website djchrismack.co.uk
This amazing couple were both into rock and metal and had something very unique in mind. This was not to be just your average evening reception but more like a festival. After months of planning and prepping the music, plus an 185 mile drive down to Kent, I finally met the couple. The overall feel of the day was brilliant, quite literally one of the most amazing weddings it has been my privilege to be a part of.
The tent was pitched and the gear set up, while the couple were getting married at 2.30. The couple and guests then made their way up to the main area where the first artist, Andy Mack started playing acoustic music and requests. After his set was done it was time for the speeches.
From there it went straight into the next band which was Orange Circus Band
Once they had finished, I played a 20 min set of classic 60’s rock which included:
Rolling Stones
Doors
Kinks
At 6pm it was time for the next band which was Best Intentions, followed by myself with another 20 min set of classic 70’s rock of songs by these bands:
Led Zeppelin
Fleetwood Mac
Eagles
At 7pm it was time for the next band which was Hot Choux again followed by myself with an classic 80’s rock set from bands like:
Toto
Guns ‘n’ Roses
Alice Cooper
At 8pm it was time for a Metal covers band called Thumpskrew and straight after I played a mashup set.
The final artist of the night was Funke, who played an hour and 20 mins of very interesting music, which is difficult to explain.
So at 10,15 it was my turn and for the last 3 hours I played songs from these artists:

To name but a few…
The music ranged from 80’s rock, Pop Punk, Emo and nu Metal.
On a personal note, this was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had and it was a lot of fun to be a part of my first festival wedding.

Excellent Rock DJ who caters his set specifically to your event. Great communication, lovely guy, endless range of tracks and gives you the opportunity to request and veto songs.
Brings his own sound and light setup, couldn’t be easier to work with and absolutely smashes an event.
