Oxfordshire Rock Wedding Disco

Katy & Mark 27th July 2019 – Oxfordshire Rock Wedding Disco by DJ Chris Mack

This great couple booked me for their evening reception in Oxfordshire Rock Wedding Disco back in February of this year.  They both had a very eclectic taste in music similar to my own so I had no hesitation in driving the 85 miles down to do the job.

The couples 1st dance was a unique track by Don Lennon called ‘Definition of love’

With the guests invited to join halfway through it was a great moment.  The photographer Paul Nelson taking great pics too. https://www.nelsonphotos.co.uk/

The rest of the night consisted of a couple of pop songs, Motown, 60’s rock and pop, 70’s rock, 80’s pop and rock, 90’s rock and indie, with a small pop punk set at the end.

A few of the requests listed here:

Toto – Africa

Lionel Richie – All night long

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros – Home

Modest Mouse – Dashboard

Rolling Stones – Jumpin’ Jack flash

Steve Miller Band – Abracadabra

Futureheads – Hounds of love

Jackie Wilson – Higher and higher

Focus – Hocus pocus

To name but a few….

I wish you both the very best for the future and please keep in touch

  1. We had Chris DJ at our wedding in July and he was brilliant! We wanted the music that we love, which is indie and rock – nothing too heavy but quite quirky at times – with some motown and 70s/80s pop thrown in. Chris totally understood what we were aiming for and put together an amazing set. He was so professional, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. It was great to chat to him in detail beforehand and we were so relieved to find someone who wasn’t a typical bogstandard wedding DJ. He was everything that we hoped for and we completely recommend him!! Thanks again for making our day so special, Mark and Katy.
