Hilton St Georges Park Burton upon Trent Disco

This booking was at Hilton St Georges Park Burton upon Trent Disco. I recommended using one of my specialist DJ’s MarkyC.  The original request was for an 80’s and party type evening, MarkyC contacted Chris & Amanda to discuss the night and the playlist was created, then after many alterations the final track list was done, this included Acoustic background then into 80’s, rock/indie/Brit pop, old skool dance classics, commercial pop & 70’s disco and to come up with a way to send everybody off on a high party spirit.

A lot of effort from Chris & Amanda was put into this evening and MarkyC said this one really stood out with smart décor to the room, Las Vegas girls doing the meet & greet and giving out the drinks vouchers.  A group Christina & Harry  had also booked and then the Las Vegas girls getting the party atmosphere started to a hog roast.

After this the disco started from the playlist, now with play or set lists they are only used as a guide never to the track however (and this was a first for MarkyC if not any DJ) he started from the top all the way to the bottom and MarkyC only had to add 2 extra tracks onto a set, other than that it flowed perfectly all night with the dance floor never empty.

Earlier MarkyC said, him, Chris & Amanda had to come up with a way to close the night on a high so it was decided rather than do a final dance song they would finish off with the gentleman on the floor singing to Oasis – Don’t look back in anger and the ladies singing to Take That – Never forget and the twist to all this was the DJ saying thank you & good night then a pause so everyone leaves the floor then fire on Darude ‘Sandstorm’ as the final track. Boom the dance floor was rammed and everybody really did go away (excuse the term) Buzzing. Amanda has said to Marky C I’m booking you for our 20th, 30th, 40th, & 50th anniversary.
